Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA)
I’m Katia Husemann. I’ve spent over nine years working with clients who are motivated to live more authentically and purposefully—but feel unsure of how to get there.
You may be carrying a heavy weight—grief that lingers, trauma that still echoes, or the invisible load of motherhood that feels overwhelming. You care deeply for others, even when you're running on empty. You might feel pressure to hold it all together, even when you’re feeling lost inside.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone nor do you have to navigate it all on your own. I’d be honored to support you.
I believe pain can be an agent of change. With the right support, pain can become a bridge to greater self-awareness, meaning, and change.
I offer therapy that is relational, warm, and conversational. I listen actively, challenge when needed, and hold space collaboratively—so you can begin to rediscover yourself and reconnect with what matters most to you.
I was born in Mexico and shaped by many places, people, and stories across borders. I’m drawn to the depth of human experience—seeking moments that humble me, move me, and connect me to our shared humanity. I’ve lived in North America, Europe and Australia before settling in Austin, Texas.
My interest in psychotherapy is rooted in my own experiences. Grief cracked me open. Motherhood reshaped me. Both have guided me toward a deeper understanding of what it means to sit with others in their pain. I’m fascinated by the ongoing search to understand what it means to be human.
