Our Approach

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and practice from a trauma-informed, person-centered foundation, grounded in psychodynamic theory and experiential techniques.

My areas of focus include grief and loss, trauma, identity, and motherhood. I aim to create a therapeutic space that is compassionate, curious, and collaborative.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is rooted
in Psychoanalytic theory and uses
conversation as a tool for change.

We come to understand ourselves, others, and the world
around us by processing, experiencing, and drawing
meaning from past and present experiences. Using words,
we aim to understand how we think, feel, and behave
and find solutions or ways forward.

Person-centered Therapy

Developed by Carl Rogers, is a humanistic
and non-directive approach to counseling,
which highlights an individual’s innate capacity
for self-actualization and personal growth.

The client is seen as the expert of their own experience and the therapist’s role involves understanding and empathizing with the client’s internal world.
Building a genuine and supportive therapeutic relationship aids clients in exploring their feelings, thoughts and behaviors.
